Pujyasri Omkarananda Mahaswamiji was born in a traditional Vaidika family and grew up amid temple traditions and culture. Strongly rooted in a Vedic lifestyle from childhood, he completed Veda Adhyayanam in Krishna Yajurveda and became well-versed in Prayogam (application) of Vedic rituals. Swamiji was a distinguished Vedic Pandit, deeply learned in both the practice and philosophical aspect of Vedic knowledge.
